Snorkeling FAQ's

Yes, all snorkelers should know how to swim, in order to participate in this activity.

Quality snorkel gear is provided for all snorkel guests complimentary. This includes mask, fins and snorkel – 1 set per person.

(Guests can bring their own snorkel gear onboard with them should they prefer)

Absolutely. If you own your own mask, snorkel or set of fins that you are comfortable with then please feel free to bring it with you and onboard.

You can expect to see many variations of fish along with vibrant coral reefs, sea fans, brain corals, and on occasions sea turtles, rays, lobsters and more. Our guests always enjoy spotting parrot fish and angel fish too when visiting some of our larger coral reefs.

Onboard our snorkel boats, we have proper quality snorkel vests that range in many sizes, plus we also carry onboard flotation noodles for guests who prefer to snorkel with one.

Yes we do. Masks sizes are suitable for kids and we have fins that fit children of all sizes as well.

(Please note that some of our snorkeling excursions have a minimum age of 7 years old to participate)

* Private Boat Charters which include the activity of snorkeling for our charter guests do not have a minimum age requirement to participate.

Beginner Snorkelers are welcome on almost all of our snorkeling excursions, unless the excursion specifies that it is for experienced snorkelers only.

Please Note: A K.S. WaterSports crew member or captain will be happy to show you how to put on your snorkel gear properly and give you any tips or pointers on how to snorkel.

As much as we would like to say yes, due to changing weather/sea conditions, sometimes we must alter routes and locations for our snorkeling tours so that our customers have the best overall experience. Snorkel tour descriptions and locations listed on our website is where we mostly take our snorkeling tours when weather conditions are good, which in Bermuda is almost all of the time.

Generally you should bring a towel and a bathing suit. It is recommended that you are wearing your bathing suit prior to the tour due to the lack of changing facilities at our locations or onboard our vessels. Some other things to consider are waterproof cameras, sun block (non spray type) or sunglasses, and a plastic bottle of water.

For our Jet Ski & Snorkel Tours, we have dry lockable storage on our floating docks at all 4 of our watersports locations, which is suitable for small amounts of belongings that you do not need to take with you on a jet ski.

Yes there are some restrictions for our Snorkeling Excursions. Please see below for persons who may not be able to partake on our Snorkeling Excursions:

* Our captain and crew ensures you receive a fantastic snorkeling experience.

No we are not the same company, and Island Tour Centre is just a booking sales agent for K.S. WaterSports and our Dockyard Location tours. K.S. WaterSports has been established since 2001 as an independently owned and ran business, but in 2010 we decided to partner with Island Tour Centre in Dockyard who are now sales booking agents for K.S. WaterSports and all our Dockyard location adventure tours. They handle all our Dockyard phone and walk in reservations for K.S. WaterSports. K.S. WaterSports is still operated independently and is not affiliated with Island Tour Centre. All emails that are sent to the  email address come straight through to us directly.
